motivation please...

I am in need of some butt kicking i do believe.

I really don't have the energy or motivation right now, to continue with my exercising and eating right. Maybe it's because i don't have the money for the gym membership or to buy any food until the end of the month... I'm not sure what it is.

I think it's because i'm so tired, and still re-cooperating from my sister's wedding.

So i hope that it gets better in a few days.
I definitely failed last week and never posted for HOT 100 and the #OctGTD challenges. Whoopsies!

Let the ass kicking and motivation commence, please and thank you!

I think we all struggle with motivation and things, but here's a message I posted on my bathroom cabinet today.

"I cannot change the past, but I can make today better than yesterday."

It's true...do your best today. Go for a walk today...just something.

Don't give up!

It's difficult when life takes over and makes it hard to focus on a healthier lifestyle- but I have faith in you! I know, know, KNOW that in your heart of hearts this is something that you want, and I have no doubts that God will provide.

Breathe, stop giving yourself reasons (excuses) to not focus, shake off the stress that has been the past week or two, and move forward. You'll be fine, dear.

Remember the reasons you want to exercise and how you usually feel afterwards. It will push you to do something . . . I am struggling with this as well. Even if you don't work out for long periods of time, just do something. A little activity is better than nothing!

OK - do NOT give up! You CAN and WANT to do this. Otherwise you wouldn't have started a blog to share everything with us and ask for butt kickings every now and then. We all experience lulls in the motivation department. Try this...write yourself a letter giving yourself advice as if you weren't you. Try to think of all the things you CAN do even without money (walk outside, just eat less even if the food isn't all healthy, etc.) then refer to it frequently. Also, make sure you keep reading the blogs of people who are really making progress becuase their success will make you want to keep going because you don't want ot be the one left behind. Just keep on going. Never, never, never GIVE UP!

PS - bananas are really cheap AND healthy!

Even though you can't afford a gym membership you can still go for a walk or some kind of activity to burn calories. I have done nothing but walk for the last 8 weeks and I'm down over 20 lbs as of right now. And you said you can't afford to buy groceries until the end of the month then just make due with what you have, even if it isn't healthy stuff you can still use portion control. Take this as a challenge to see what you are made of. Learn some new ways of dealing with times like this and then when you have times in life when everything is turned upside down you will be able to deal with it better. None of us on this journey ever want to give up and I know that includes you. The end of the month is a couple weeks away, do you really want to gain weight until then, I don't think so. We are all here supporting for you and rooting you on....you can do it just dig down deep and find why you began this journey.

You can do it! Let's motivate each other because I feel the same way about exercising right now.

Okay, since you asked! I am kicking. Don't let that wedding derail you. You need to get back on track now. Not tomorrow, not next week. Now. Think of how much better you will feel, how much happier you will be with yourself. Excuses are easy to find. Motivation is much harder. But I know you can do this and I know from this post that you WANT to do this. Okay, your ass has been kicked:) Now for the supportive hug.

Thank you for your sweet comment! I am excited for the move but getting nervous! I mean who in their right mind moves in the middle of the holidays...me...haha! As far as motivation, think longevity. No biggie if your not motivated today, but as long as you do something better then yesterday then today is already better! And if your bored, click on my Monday Motivation links, I have a bunch of random funny things that might help :)

Everyone can get into a funk. Make do with the best you have. Try doing some soothing yoga, or even just stretching or walking. You'll be right as rain before you know it!!!
